Mark Lawton

With over 25 years experience, Mark has extensive experience in most areas of the electrical industry in Canada, particularly in the event electrical business. As a leader and Project Manager, Mark has been responsible for the success of hundreds of events in BC, Canada and around the world. He began in the 1980s in Whistler staging World Cup Downhill Racing Events, then on to Spain, Korea, and Australia for Expo World Fairs. Mark was the Electrical Design Consultant during the construction of General Motors Place in Vancouver. Upon completion, he remained on as the Electrical Engineer responsible for all electrical activities including the staging of hundreds of concerts, trade shows, and sporting events. In 1999, Mark left GM Place to form Vancouver-based Willpower Systems. Over the past ten years Willpower and its strong team of skilled electricians successfully provided electrical design, engineering, installation, and operation of temporary event electrical systems for some of Canada’s largest events. Mark is now the President of Viridian Power.
Billy Peacock

Billy has over 20 years experience in the special event industry. He spent 15 years as a production manager, technical director and crew chief for many of Vancouver’s top producers. Realizing there was a real need in the market for professional, reliable and efficient temporary power distribution, Billy set out to fill that need and in 2002 formed Showcall Temporary Power. Bringing together some of Vancouver’s most experienced technicians and suppliers, Showcall has provided temporary power services to many of Vancouver’s top events. Showcall was routinely been subcontracted by other event companies to handle all of their power requirements. Billy had been the subcontracted event electrician at GM Place for the last eight years. He has taken on the position of Director of Operations for Viridian Power.

Benny has over 11 years experience in the special event industry. In 1999 Benny joined forces with Mark Lawton to form Willpower Systems providing electrical design, enginering, installation, and operation of temporary event electrical systems for some of Canadas largest events. The Pemberton Music Festival, Molson Indy Vancouver, Edmonton Grand Prix, Molson’s Snow Jam’s, and Vancouver Folk Music Festival are just a few of the events he has been a part of. In 2007 Mark, Billy and Benny joined forces to form Viridian Power Corporation. Benny continues to manage Willpower Systems Inc. Electrical Contractng, based in the Sea to Sky corridor, specializing in custom home lighting systems, retail tenant fit outs and industrial high voltage installations. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s high voltage distribution systems as well as Cypress mountain snow making distribution system are a few of the big mountain projects. Benny is now the Vice-President of Viridian Power.
